No Product Handling, Pistons or Hoppers!
The distinct advantage of this Depositor lies in the Poppet Head Design. Poppet Heads may be positioned at a fixed height or they can fill from the bottom of the pan with an upward motion.
Deposit speed is regulated to reduce stress on the batter, filling or topping, eliminating the compression/decompression of product that is typical of all piston type depositors. This Depositor is ideal for processing delicate product such as angel food cake.
The Poppet Process:
The Poppet Depositing head consists of twin valves, driven by pneumatic cylinders and controlled by Electro Mechanical In-Position timing signals. Product is supplied directly to the Poppet Valve in stainless steel piping under low pressure from the Continuous Mixer.
Adjustable guides and drive dogs track and position each pan on the two-lane chain conveyor. When a pan is sensed in-position, the poppet valve opens for a timed depositing sequence. As a pan fills on the left conveyor, the pan on the right conveyor is indexed into position. The depositing sequence then transfers to the right side.
|Since product transfer from the continuous mixer is steady, there are only small pressure changes in the inlet piping. This allows extremely accurate flow metering and timing for precise deposit control.
The number/type of poppet heads or lane conveyors are dependent on your production requirements.
